Drawing & Painting for Beginners (Ages 6–9)

This is a foundational drawing and painting program for nurturing young minds. Will cover basic drawing principles including line drawing, tones, perspectives, composition, proportions and forms.

Children’s Course (Ages 8+)

This is one of the basic drawing classes for kids that will help them take their first steps towards becoming artists. Students will learn elementary drawing and painting skills, including line drawing, cross contour drawing, knowledge of form, colour harmonies and paint mixing.

Drawing Classes for Kids

Encourages creative expression in an engaging and supportive environment. Kids develop basic drawing skills, improve focus, and gain confidence through fun, guided exercises.

Advanced Drawing Course

Already well-versed with the basics of fine arts? Then our advanced drawing course might be for you. This course covers complexities in facial features, anatomy, architecture and more with the aid of plaster models.

Landscape Painting (Beginner & Advanced)

One of the more prominent painting courses in Toronto, landscape painting covers plein air perspective and what constitutes the structural elements of landscapes. Students will also learn some basic principles of this art form, such as alla prima.

Impressionist Painting

Learn the basics of impressionist painting and master the interplay between objects and their environment. Students with prior painting experience are preferred.

Life Model Painting & Drawing

Master the basics of figure drawing, anatomy, form sculpting and understanding the principles of colour and tone in this course. A step-by-step demonstration is included in the course.

Portfolio Preparation

We offer one of the best courses for portfolio preparation in Canada. With our guidance, you can apply to prestigious art schools such as OCAD, Sheridan, Waterloo, the Philadelphia Academy of Art and more.

Composition Course

Covering the basics of composition, such as harmony, contrast, rhythm, and structural layout, the students will also engage in stained painting and sketching in this program.

Portraiture Course

Take your knowledge of portraits to the next level with this course that covers the knowledge and skills required to craft your first portrait from a photo reference.

Copy Painting

With over 40 years of experience in multiple art media and styles, Vladimir is the founder and master artist behind VR School of Art. A renowned name in the art sector, he is also a key member of the Oil Painters of America. His stunning artworks find residence in museums across North America, Europe and Russia.

Tatiana Ribatchok

Tatiana combines her passion for painting with reshaping and nurturing young minds. As such, she operates as a Children’s Program Director, inspiring young minds to explore their creativity. Apart from having a permanent exhibit at the Vivamo Retreat Centre in Helsinki, Finland, her other works have become part of esteemed private collections across Russia, Europe and North America.
